These Gluten-Free Orange and Cranberry Flapjacks are a delicious and healthy twist on a classic treat. Made with gluten-free oats and dried cranberries, they are a perfect choice for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. The addition of fresh orange zest gives the flapjacks a bright and tangy flavour that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the cranberries.
7 tbsp of sunflower seeds
5 tbsp of soft dark brown
6 tbsp of Casa de l'Oli Orange Oil
160g Gluten free Oats
grated zest of 1 orange
pinch of salt
280g golden syrup/honey
175g dried cranberries
Grease and line a 23cm square baking tin with baking paper
Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Place oats and seeds on a baking tray in an even layer. Toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, shaking occasionally to prevent burning.
When you remove the toasted oats and seeds from the oven, quickly transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the brown sugar and stir. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well to combine.
Tip into the prepared baking tin and press down to make an even layer. Use wet hands if needed!
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Take out of the oven and cool. When cooled, turn out onto a cutting board and slice into flapjacks.
Perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea or picnics in the park!
